Everything here may be used, unmodified, in coverage of cwdio. The screenshots are captured from the running application, never mocked up, and the facts below are the same ones the FAQ and /llms.txt carry, so a piece written from this page will not contradict the product.

Boilerplate

cwdio (Cwdio File Manager) is a free, keyboard-first, dual-pane file manager for Windows 10 and 11, built for developers and for anyone who moves a lot of files. Its defining feature is two-way working-directory sync: navigate a file panel and the built-in terminal follows; type cd in the terminal and the panel follows. Around that sit verified transfers with a queue that survives a restart, search inside files, SFTP and FTP servers browsed as folders, archives opened as folders, bulk rename, a disk size map, a duplicate finder, folder compare-and-sync, previews with the space bar, git integration and an optional AI assistant that only ever proposes. It has no telemetry, needs no account, and is free during the beta — permanently free for the people who use it now.

Assets

All generated from one canonical source, so they match the app pixel for pixel.

Icon — a lit terminal screen: a lime prompt chevron ❯ and a glowing block text-cursor on a dark tile. It is intentionally dark among bright app icons; please do not brighten it.

Wordmark — an unbroken lowercase cwdio in a monospace face plus the lime block cursor cwdio▮. The cursor is the signature.

Share card — og.png (1200 × 630)

Demo clip — 1440 × 810, 13 seconds, silent, captured from the running app. The panel opens a folder and the shell follows it; cd is typed and the panel follows back; git status prints the same changes the panel’s git column is already marking.

The brand lime

The one accent: terminal-phosphor green, #a8ee50 on dark backgrounds and #6faa12 on light ones. It marks the cursor in the wordmark and the icon and is deliberately independent of the accent colour a user picks inside the app, so the logo never changes.

Usage rules

• Do keep the lime cursor in the wordmark; it is the signature glyph.
• Do keep clear space around the icon (about one cursor-width) and use the dark tile as-is on any background — its rim and glow give it definition on light and dark alike.
• Do pair the wordmark with “Cwdio File Manager” when the audience does not know the category.
• Don’t recolour the lime, restyle the icon as a bright or solid tile, split the wordmark into cwd|io, stretch or re-space it, or set the name in capitals.
